π What began as a simple Valentine's Day date turned into a memorable adventure for my lovely wife and me. We decided to try something out of the ordinary β a trip to a rage room. Initially, my wife thought it would be a waste of time, money, and the gas for driving the 45 minutes it took to get there. But all that changed when she took a bat to an empty handle of JD. That was the moment she realized this was something she'd always wanted to do! Her face lit up with a smile that lasted the whole day. π I jokingly mentioned, "Ours would be so much cooler, you know. We should make our own." To my surprise, she responded enthusiastically, "Let's do it!" It just felt right. Now, we're thrilled to bring the best rage room experience to all of New Haven and Fairfield counties. So, if you've got some road rage or just need to blow off some steam, we're here for you located in Derby! ππ¨ We want everyone to have the chance to let loose in a fun and safe environment. We look forward to smashing things with you soon! πβ¨

Its winter storms are coming so I think this one will be kept short - sort of. This trip starts on Route 91 to Route 40 in North Haven into Hamden area. At the end of 40 your going to take a right onto Route 10 North. Do you like having bird feeders in your yard? Or bird watching? Then you might want to make a stop at The Fat Robin on the left. In the small plaza. Here you will find lots of bird feeders, binoculars, bird houses and more! After that your going to want to make a stop at Ray & Mikes Deli. Here you will find sandwiches like Pulled Pork, mac and cheese bacon cheddar sandwich OH MY! There is also a Chinese restaurant called Gold Star Chinese Restaurant. After your done eating you keep heading north and you will see a health food store, if your into that sort of thing. You will find Thyme & Season to stop at and pick up some items. Going up further on Route 10 there is a great little gift shoppe called The Barn Boutique & Gifts. Which feature apparel, jewelry, bath accessories and more. Continuing on, if you did not eat there are a few spots along the way like The Corner Deli or further up at Funcles Cafe. But before you see Funcles, there is the Blue DoDo. Cute little Home Goods Store. Here you will find unique items for the home not found in big box stores. iF your in the mood for desert then make a stop at Wentworth Ice Cream. Well worth the stop for this homemade ice cream. Going up Route 10 there are alot of other places to stop and eat. Then when you get up into Cheshire you should make a stop a Seems Like Yesterday, this is a Vintage shop. It has old signs, old records, antiques, furniture and more. This is worth the stop as next door is Anthonys Pizzaria & Deli. Peek in and see if they have their garlic knots out. I love stopping here to get a slice and the knots. I get like 6 of them they are that good. Next door is also C.J Sparrow bar and grill. You can make a stop in there too for some beverages. Then right next door is Rose Dairy - this time of year they may be closed. But they have some great ice cream as well. Maybe come back in Summer. But up the street past the McDonalds is Micro Creamery of CT. Maybe pick up a snack there too. Unless your going to make my next stop at the Barker Character & Comic Museum. Here you will find items from your youth. Lunch boxes, TV Characters, art prints and more. This is a very cool spot. Your going to take lots of Pictures! Make a point to stop. Then after the museum keep heading north on Route 10 and you will come to Route 691 to head back home OR you can keep exploring! |
Did you know.. Charles Goodyear was born in New Haven CT. He spent years conducting countless experiments to discover how to stabilize rubber so that it could be fashioned into an array of water proof goods. Once he cracked the mystery he devoted more years to perfecting the process before patenting it. He was in so much debt perfecting his creation and he had so many investors to pay back he passed before being able to profit from his discovery. |

Hello! I am Angie Serpas-Ham and here's a little bit about my journey π Born in El Salvador, I, along with my family, embarked on a quest for the *American Dream* in 2001. My vision was clearβI aspired to **open my own business**, and today, I am *incredibly proud* to have realized that dream. Not only do I run my own housekeeping company, but I've also started Abuellaβs Essentials π±. Wondering about the name "Abuella"? It all started with my granddaughter Mia, who called me that ever since she started talkingβand the name just stuck! Fast forward to 2016, after recovering from back surgery, I decided to dive into the world of entrepreneurship from my very own basement in Trumbull, Connecticut. Back then, I had no idea how to even make a simple candle. But with the help of countless books and videos, I taught myself everything you see here today π―οΈ. Every product I create is made with a lot of prideβensuring that my clients receive only the best, from top-notch ingredients to the finest details, making each item a masterpiece. My family often calls me ambitious. Perhaps it's because whenever an idea crosses my mind, I turn it into reality. Life is too short to wait, so why not start making your dreams a reality? Thankfully, I have the unwavering support of my family, from my husband and daughters to their families, for every βcrazyβ idea π. While I cherish every business venture, my greatest joy lies in being a mom to my three daughters, a wife, and an "abuella" to my four remarkable grandkids π. Enjoy navigating our site! If you have any requests or questions, feel free to *send them my way*! Thank you for supporting my small business! π With love, Xo, Angie |
